MIL can't get over the fact that I won't be breastfeeding. She bought me a book on it (which is very nice but not needed). I have one of those ikea rocking chairs and OH offered it to her because we don't have room for it anymore and she said 'ohh but she'll need it for nursing!' so he had to reiterate that I won't be BFing and it took her a while to accept the chair (for free). She also picked up the box of formula I bought when she visited, read it a bit and then made a disgusted face. She's only middle aged and I thought time had moved on enough for FF to be acceptable by now. Even my family nurse tried pushing BF on me and I just straight up told her I will do what I feel is better and don't need convincing otherwise.

Luckily for me no one has dared to try forcing breastfeeding on me, my family nurse keeps forgetting and asking me but thats the worst I've had. My midwife may have tried at one point by telling me that I could actually get paid for it but it didn't sway me. I've heard horror stories from my mum with my brother, and to be honest breastfeeding just isn't for me! Stick to your guns I say and if she doesn't like it, she knows what she can do! x

MIL isn't really that interested in the baby but will happily get involved if she disagrees on something, it's really strange. She hasn't offered to buy anything but went rifling through baby's wardrobe saying I haven't bought enough clothes for her (OH hasn't put any money towards baby stuff and she knows that). It's so annoying! I feel like FF will be easier for me and I admire those who BF because it seems like really hard work and I don't think I'm cut out for it xx
People need to be open minded 😂😂😂 This pisses me off! I'm planning to breast feed and would never judge someone for choosing Formula over breast! Sometimes Formula actually suits babies better in the cases where women don't produce enough milk etc! There's pros and cons to both :) Do what you want to do hun! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise :) Even though I am planning to breast feed...I haven't totally kicked out the option of FF! As I don't know what will happen xD xxx
