To the ladies who had a all natural birth what helped you the most? Would you do all natural again? Tips and suggestions please! I'm just weighing my options of natural or with an epidural.

I haven't had a child yet but I'm planning to go natural many women done it before our time and lived so if you have the high pain tolerance I'd go for natural

Personally im soooo sooo happy i went natural and really really hope to do the same again. To me again personally no i didnt have a "good time or enjoy it" but its one of my biggest accomplishment in life and something im extremely proud of. Also you really do enjoy your self and feel much much better right afterwards. Good luck in whatever you end up choosing there is no right or wrong!

I was going natural but my contractions got really strong and a lot of my family was there and I was getting really mean from the contractions being so strong so I ended up getting an epidural I didn't have any back problems afterwards but this time I'm going to to try to have a natural birth again and see how it goes. After I had my epidural tho I really did enjoy my birthing experience much more. You never really know until that day comes.

Thank you everyone so much! Gives me so much to think about, my family wants me to get the epi so I enjoy it more and probably so they also enjoy my company lol in the end I know it's my choice. Either way, with or without the epi I know whatever I do is the right thing for me. @edomke @mommi321 @tinatinker @elenasmommy @aphrodite2014 @niyapooh @cydiasmommy @jess1ca

@elenasmommy, yes! I had a very similar experience. no side effects from the epidural and it showed me to relax and enjoy it more like you said. everyone is different not everyone is crippled after an epidural lol. I would get it again in a heartbeat

36 hrs of labor no drugs!! Planning on doing it again any day. I found the toliet and the bathtub to be the easiest place for me to have relief.

@babykittykatt, I'd suggest researching natural birthing techniques.. I've even seen women dancing though labor... I've put it out of my mind that I will get an epidural and honestly there are other pain medications they can give you besides the epidural I'd ask and see what yoir options are at the L&D your going to.. some newer hospitals have laughing gas.. and alot of them will use regular pain medications...

@aphrodite2014, I have researched that's why I'm scared to get it. I just think in the end result which will sound better the pain gone and possible problems or unbearable pain. Like I said I'm just weighing my options right now, trying to get from both sides. Even though I'm wanting natural birth, who knows in the end what I'll get.

honestly I'd research the side effects of an epidural and decide if it's worth it or not

I had the Epi and I don't regret it at all. My pain was terrible and with the Epi I was able to relax and enjoy my experience with my husband. It didn't make me where I couldn't feel my whole body or anything just my contractions. It was honestly heaven. It also didn't make my labor longer like some people say I pushed my baby out in 30 mins flat. If you want an Epi get it don't let people make you feel bad about it it's there to help you and it doesn't hurt the baby. My back was sore for a couple weeks but I'm 6 weeks PP now and it doesn't hurt

I have had back problems and always will..but I had both my kids natural and plan to have my 3rd the same..i believe in all natural childbirth and never once thought to get an epi...i had my first child right before i turned 16 it really depends on your pain tolerance because each individual is different.

@edomke Okay thank you! I'm worried with getting the epi that I will have back problems also. I'm just not good with pain either.

And literally once the baby comes out you feel completely better except for the soreness/after birth recovery. So worth it!

I kept thinking how I didn't want a catheter, wanted to move around after birth and most importantly I did not want to have any back issues for the rest of my life. Also having your so be very supportive during labor. I got the iv right away incase I wanted the epidural and I think that helped but I was very determined not to get it. Yes I would do it again 💪🏻
