Been there, done that ;) No big deal actually. I mean it wasn't as bad as I expected. Main things to remember:

1. You are able to do it. You have all the features built inside your body.

2. Just follow your body. Try doing what seems right at the moment.

3. Think that it only lasts for a few hours and after you see your baby - you can rest :)

4. To raise a kid is million times harder than to give birth.

Any questions - just ask. I know a few tricks.

i went natural w my first. the pain of the contraction is what hurts more than anything! its the worst pain ever. Wen i finally pushed him out, the pain was still there because she didnt pull the placenta til 10 mins later. cuz i was giving birth n the doctors were in lala land that was the worst experience. & to top that off i lost my son 4 mins later

I did an all natural birth with my first. It was an amazing experience. No pain meds at all. She will be 10 in February. I'm doing a vbac this time as I had to have a c section with my twins.

I admire all of you mommies that have had natural births. I love the idea of it but the closer I get to my due date the scary the thought is to me.

with all the videos I have watched a lot of the women are in pain while pushing but as soon as the baby is out it almost looks like all their pain went away so it seems the pain is just for a while

I'm going to do my best without the meds. It's a scary thought but I've been reading alot and watching videos so maybe I can do it.

I'll try the videos. I've seen several where the moms were screaming in pain though. @ashkoss

I have it's hard painful and most of all something that can done and has been for years. Trust me you'll come out of giving birth with confidence about yourself but you'll be fullfilled differently with natural birth plus it makes for a great story!!!

If I don't need a csection I plan to do the same, just gotta be strong an keep to it, what helped me get over the worry of no pain meds was watching stores on YouTube of moments giving birth without pain meds.

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
