I'll be 17w on Monday and finally have my first appointment! We're planning an unassisted home birth, but still want to establish care for a "just in case" scenario and also want to get an anatomy scan to make sure everything is developing properly.
I'm super sad, though. My OB who supported my VBA2C 13 months ago doesn't take my new insurance. My 2nd choice OB is booked for all June/July/August births. There are no recommend midwives in my area. Soooo.... I just set up an appointment with a local practice to feel them out. But I'm also going to look into my doula's midwife practice a little over an hour away. They supported her home birth last summer (they are CNMs so they did her care but could not attend the birth at home) so I think I would definitely feel comfortable with them.

Up early still reeling from my last OB appointment. My MIDWIFE tried to force me into a cervical exam and Pap smear. 1) I just met you lady. You are not sticking your fingers inside of me. 2) they are both COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY have been known to cause miscarriages at my stage in pregnancy and offer zero benefits whatsoever. These "abnormal cells" that could show up in them are actually normal during pregnancy and can change throughout. They are invasive, UNNECESSARY and its rude to even ask me...
did every ones SO go to EVERY dr appointment with them?? im at my appointment and its not an ultrasound or anything so i told my boyfriend he can stay home and sleep... im here and everyone has their guy with them.. im feeling lonely now:/
I had an Ob appointment today and my Ob did a pelvic exam. Only to realize that baby girl's head has dropped lower in my pelvis. He seemed disterbud by it. Does that mean that baby is coming soon??? Lol fingers crossed! Only worry is that her brain isn't fully developed and her lungs..shes also weighing small so she could come out as a premi. Does that make me a bad mom that I kind of selfishly still want to meet her!!!! But then I battle with myself because I want the best for her?
You guys dont judge but i also need some feedbck...well im almost 15 weeks and just now about to have my 1st ob appointment and i had a ultrasound done via the hospital when i was 6 weeks what are the chances of me having another coming up with this on this appointment ?
My husband says I can be a stay at home mom and be with the kids... what do I do? I ask him the other day and he said up to me. he makes enough to support us and pay for everything..... I would love to stay with my kids and take care of them.....
