Looking for tips/advice on nursing when you have large breasts.
I am currently around a DDD and expect to be even larger once Lydia is born. I had a lot of anxiety with my first two because I was terrified of falling asleep while nursing late at night and smothering them. I was only able to nurse them for around 3 months due to lingering complications from HELLP syndrome so we never really got to that easier comfortable stage of breast feeding. I am determine to nurse for atleast a year this time.
I'm sorry you had HELLP- I've only seen one other person on here with it besides myself and now you. I often find myself pulling my breast away from my preemie's face while he nurses. At 4 months old I'm finally starting to lay down and nurse because I have the same fear. I don't think my nursing boobs are as big as yours but maybe position baby differently and use your free hand to us your breast away from baby's nose.
what is hellp? I have larger breasts and have been successfully breastfeeding 3 months and am still going strong. I side nurse my lo at night and let her dream feed. unless you're a really heavy sleeper who tosses all night, I don't think you'll suffocate her. just watch the pillkws and blankets. because subconsciously you know baby is there so your bodywillbe careful around he
