I need some opinions. we moved here to reno in October. my mom and my siblings still live down in the valley (Modesto and Merced). we go down every other weekend for visitation with my step kids. well, my mom invited me to a friends birthday party that is on Saturday night. my fiance is throwing a HUGE fit about it. that we are ONLY there to see his kids and its wrong of me to want to go with my mom to this party and we have 4 kids and responsibility and I shouldn't go.... but I don't get to see my mom very often and me and her used to hang out all the time. honestly I could use the small break and its in the evening so its not going to take time away from me seeing the kids if the kids are already in bed!
what do you think? should I stay in or is he over reacting?

yeah he is overreacting. there's no reason you can't go and spend a little time with your mom.

He's overreacting... You are spending time with your mom and kids will be in bed.. You deserve a nice little break even if only for an hour or two

that's your mother. u want to see her. he needs to relax. he can't handle the kids for an evening? sheesh
