i have no idea.. they just said I'm a negative blood type

well if you o- which is what I am you have to get a rowgam shot it stops your blood cells from attacking the baby and killing it..

if you are a negative look type when you are pregnant you get the shot. then after the baby is born they will check the blood type if he is a positive you get a shot so that next time you have a child your body doesn't treat it as a foreign body and try to attack it. your doctor should explain all of this at your appt. Just make sure you ask the nurses after you deliver so they don't forget mine almost did.

I'm Rh- as well, I get an injection for each pregnancy and after delivery. it helps your body from attacking the baby as foreign material.

I have that too. I found out when I was in the er. the shot is to help protect the baby and future pregnancies incase the baby is to be positive.
