That's a lie, breastfeeding DOES hurt and will hurt till your nipples get raw. If you are REALLY wanting to and FULLY dedicated you will get through it. Don't feel pressured some mom's can't and some don't find it normal once a baby is on the breast but I had cracks, sores, scabs, and bleeding nipples and was so engorged that I *not exaggerating* kicked and screamed in the shower but my husband and family supported me and pushed with me through the pain and I wanna say it lasted 3 weeks and everything was great but that is MY experience some have it easy but still hurt from nipples getting raw but bottom line is that it will get better you just have to be fully dedicated!

The first two weeks or so will hurt! Your nipples will crack/maybe been bleed &Scab; up. But once you get through that rough patch it will get better. The engorgement hurts, but as the milk comes in feed em or pump. That way they don't stay full/leak.

If you can get through that breastfeeding should become easier, maybe not completely painless, but easier than the beginning

a lot of people say it hurts. i was a rare case where my boobs or nipples never hurt. I do believe though if you are determined & believe in yourself & your body you can absolutely do it. there will be hard times where you wanna give up, especially during growth spurts, but just trust yourself & you'll do great. the bond is seriously amazing!

best thing ever to help chapped and sore nipples. bag balm. it's also AMAZING for diaper rashes. it healed my nipples really quick from pumping and breast feeding. nipple cream wasn't working for me.

My nipples never hurt or cracked, I did get bad engorgement though. I suggest getting a good pump! I bought a little cheap one and it didn't really work for me and I lost a lot of my breast milk supply to where one breast won't really produce much. I rented a hospital grade pump and it worked wonders to where I had filled 2 freezers full! I had enough to return to work and my little one would still have breast milk. Main thing to remember: MASSAGE, MASSAGE, MASSAGE! Lol, it really helps. One last thing is just relax and enjoy the bonding between you and your little one.
