Ok I need some opinions.. With my son I was induced at 39 weeks because the dr believed he would be to big if we waited.. He was 7lbs3!! That delivery was horrible (4th degree lacerations horrible) so this time around I have a different dr and he is giving me the option to deliver or have a c section, nothing against having c section I just know I will not be able to be down for the recovery time.. So this time when I deliver I don't want to be induced because this time around I have found out that contractions are so much worse being induced then letting it happen naturally.. Is this true? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks ladies!

Being induced by pitocin usually causes the contractions to hit harder than what would happen if your body just naturally goes into labor.

The way that I'm understanding is because your body is forcing the delivery it's more painful? I mean the thought of inducing is nice for the set day part of it but I'm not sure if I will have any more after this one.. I would like to experience the natural way just once I guess

Yes! Very true. I had my baby boy in April 2015 without meds vaginally and it was the easiest delivery I've had and he's my 3rd delivery. Both of my girls I had meds and my youngest daughter was a medical emergency induction -the worst 72 hours of my life.- . I'll be going naturally again without meds for this lil bundle of joy as well. :)

false. I've been induced 4 times and I went into labor once. I prefer to be induced. I'll be getting induced this time too

I think it just depends on the person I was induced and my contractions weren't bad until I got to 8 cm

Any 1st time moms who had a c-section? My due date is Wednesday. At my Dr appt today, my Dr said I'm not dilated at all. My baby has been measuring big all along, and my Dr now estimates he is about 9.5lbs and doesn't think I can deliver him naturally... so she scheduled me for a c-section on Thursday. This is my 1st baby, and I really don't know how to feel about it all.

Next child Speaking to my partner tonight about having our next child i ideally don't want another for a few years yet but he turned around and said only on one condition you have a c section ( i got a 3rd degree tear with Oliver) I actually don't want a c section but he said he won't have another child otherwise am I being unfair ? I loved my birth with Oliver i loved that feeling him being placed on me, but he said if I don't have a c section the next baby won't be with him :(
