What are your thoughts on the name Avery for a boy? I had an appointment today, and while waiting was talking to a girl in the waiting room. I mentioned that I was planning on naming my son Avery, and she was very opinionated about that being a girls names. Just curious what other mommas think.

I think it's girly, but it works as a boys name definitely. I only say I think it's girly because I know more girls names that, then again it's usually spelled Averie. So I think it definitely works.

I know a boy and a girl named Avery. I think it only sounds girly when paired with a girly middle name. if you give him a strong manly middle name he will be perfectly fine. if you like the name don't listen to others (:
