Next week I'll be 38 weeks, and my doctor wants to check for dilation! I heard it hurts really bad. 😕 Has anyone had a good experience with it, and is it as bad as it sounds??

It hurt when my dr checked me... But she said my cervix is really really high and baby has dropped just not dilated or thinning at all...

More uncomfortable than painful. Def not fun tho

It's definitely not comfortable, as they tend to have to dig around a little bit. Your cervix is already gonna be sensitive.

It doesn't hurt haha a little uncomfortable but not painful. But you don't have to. It honestly makes no difference until you're in labor.
