Any moms here successfully breastfed with an inverted nipple??? I want to breastfeed so bad but I'm scared it won't work out. I have been using hobbit shells for weeks now. By recommendation of a lactation consultant.
My hospital gave me one but you might need more than one because they are clear and easy to lose.
@santistevanmommie, Yeah I think I'm going to definitely buy some just in case and I can always return them later if I don't need them. Thanks!!!
I've heard some hospitals have them but to be on the safe side you should buy some anyway
Another quick question ladies. Should I purchase my own nipple shields before my induction this Sunday or do they give them to you in the hospital??? @hitt_andrea @santistevanmommie
@babyvicky2016, I do. I did try and wean her off of the shields and on the bare breast but u was never able to get in more than a couple seconds of good latched eating before she would get upset. If you hope to breastfeed without the shields it can be done and you might have better luck than me.
yep! I use nipple shields for the same reason! Have been successfully breastfeeding for almost 2 months now. (:
@hiit_andrea, @santistevanmommie -- have you mamas ever had any issues with supply while using the nipple shield? I've always had to use it and I am worried I am not getting the stimulation I need to keep my supply up
