Me and my husband got a puppy back in June. He will be 1 in April and I am very nervous to see how he is going to react…

I haven't dealt with it but don't completely block out the dog, happened to my aunt and her dog got aggressive and hated the baby :( train the dog to get used to the baby and stuff,who knows the dog may end up being really over protective of the little baby and be its bestfriend

I was so excited to introduce my dog to my daughter, he was 5 when she was born and he had been my baby since he was a puppy!! I just always showed him to her and he used to nudge her head with his nose....during the baby stage they mostly stayed out of eachothers way and I never had any problems....now that my daughter is 3, Harley (our dog) is her best friend and she misses him when we aren't home! He's getting older now and I'm just dreading the day when he's gone and she has to deal with that loss :(

I have not got to that point yet (because the baby is still on bake lol) but my dog is very much the same as yours. He was my first baby and still acts like my baby lol. I am worried in alot of ways how he will respond to her, but I know alot of family and friends that had dogs like this and they end up becoming very protective of the baby. I have the idea of slowly introducing my baby girl to my dog... hoping that a slow introduction will make him curious and realize that she is just a tiny me. lol only time can tell I guess, but if he is not aggressive now, I have a feeling you'll have your baby a guard dog !!! :)
