4 month sleep regression. My son wakes up like a newborn now. He won't sleep until midnight then last night he woke up at 2 am 5 am and 930. He went back to sleep all times but because I gave him a bottle because I thought he was hungry. Tonight it was time for him to eat after his bath so I gave him his milk and Layed him in his crib to sleep because I thought he was out for the night. Not even 20 minutes later he is awake in his crib. He's quiet so I'll wait and see if he falls back asleep. Did any of your babies do this? Is this a thing? I'm hoping it won't last long. Mind you forgetting to mention he did sleep through the night since 2 and a half months.
That's cool, let me know if it works! My girl REFUSES bottles but maybe when she learns how to use her sippy cut she can try that 😁
I gave him a little chamomile tea tonight in his bottle. Because of his teething as well. Hopefully he will sleep better. Poor baby. @hellosweetie
No problem, you know your lil guy better than anyone so you got this 😄 hope he gets back to sleeping normally soon!
@hellosweetie, thanks. If he continues to cry I jnow he's hungry and will just listens to his cries. That makes me feel a little bit better
Well if he went back to sleep quick that's awesome 😄 just so you aren't afraid to feed him though, baby's his age are mentally unable to develop bad habits, when they cry for us it's for a reason they don't just cry because they want to manipulate....plenty of people have said oh you'll "spoil" by responding to her cry every time and nursing her back to sleep if she doesn't fall back asleep quickly, but every study I've read regarding that says babies who are under 6 months of age don't understand the concept of manipulation nor do they develop bad habits...they grow out of night feeds when they're ready to developmentally 😄 I'm not telling you that you must take my advice lol but just wanted to voice that so you don't feel bad if you feel like feeding him to sleep is happening too often or in case you have a mother or sometime telling you you're making bad habits, cause I had that problem and that's why I researched it lol
yeah it was horrible! but he's 9 months now and he hasn't went through another one since. @princevince
my son did this too around 4 months and than it went back to normal sleep routine and than again at about 6 months old, it was like he was a cranky newborn again, he couldnt be put down, ate every two hours and woke up three times a night. @princevince
@hellosweetie, I just don't want to be giving a bottle every time for him to go. BAck to sleep it's a bad habit. Last night I let hi cry for a few and he went back to sleep
Yea the 4 month sleep regression is actually a thing, they are going through something new developmentally, they may become more clingy, wake more often, go down later, eat more...they're growing rapidly, physically and or mentally...my girl has been going through this, especially lately, but she seems to be coming out of it last night and tonight it's been better...we'll see if it lasts lol she's been sleeping 8 or more hours since around 2 months as well, so this was hard on me 😢 she's almost 5 months, will be on the 24th...just give extra cuddles, loves, and if he's hungry feed him because he may be requiring more nutrition right now to handle this growth spurt or whatever it is lol...it will pass in time, sorry I'm not much help, I just have been riding it out lol
I'm not sure because I'm still going through it. I can't remember much about my first born and his phases so I'm not help. I'm just sympathizing with you.
My preemie is 4 months old and I'm not getting any sleep. 4 months is one of those times 😂
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Did or does anyone have a newborn (under a month old) who doesn't sleep at night? The second I put him in his crib he freaks out 😢
My son is one year old and i want him to go back and get use to sleeping in the crib I put him in the crib and all he does is cry and I spoke to his doctor and his doctor said let him cry like in 2 or 3 days he should get use to sleeping on his own has anyone try it ?
Got home around 11... washed lil man up and made him a bottle... asked my husband to get off his phone and help me put him to sleep... as soon as I did, my husband sat on the couch and fell right to sleep with Zach in his arms... I walked over to him and picked Zach up and he has to nerve to jump awake talking about I scared him because he thought he dropped Zach... this is why I’ve stopped asking him to hold him... he is irresponsible... I ended up setting up Zach’s stand up floor lamp, rearran...
So my ex went to court and filed for visitation rights. I was served last week. I am not comfortable with our daughter being around him alone nor his mother which he lives with. I have proof of him asking me to take his drug test for his job for him in text messages and him texting me he was too high to drive and get our daughter milk. Is that enough to show the judge? As far as his mother she watches his son quite often and told us she gives him nighttime medicine if she has problems getting hi...
I wasn't fortunate enough to breastfeed him. He was in the nicu and didn't want to when it was time. Had to put him on formula. I tried pumping it was exhausting and I didn't get as much because he wouldn't nurse.
