After finding out the gender of the baby today the father and I were brain storming names and we came across one we really liked, I want to name my little boy Phillip Kristopher Garbitt. Basically everyone is against Phillip and my mother is pissed that I want to have the middle name the same as my fathers name. my mother hates my father because he hasn't really been there for me. But everyone needs to remember that this is MY child and mine and the father's decision. I'm getting aggravated because they are either making jokes or getting mad at me.

thank you :) I really like the name and its frustrating that people are giving me a hard time, they got to pick the names of their children ...its my moment and turn .

@briimariee, someone will always have an opinion and there's always going to be someone that doesn't like the name but it's rude that they straight out tell you that they don't like it. it's your baby, not theirs. just curious, do you feel the same way about your dad as your mom feels about him?

I used to carry resentment towards my dad for his absence most of my life but about a year ago I was deep in drug addiction and I was trying to get clean and I told him about my drug problem, he was so hurt and for the first time ever he told me he loved me. he's made an effort since then to be apart of my life. my mother still carry's a resentment for the way he's treated me in the past

I just wouldn't discuss the names anymore with anyone. Same reason I haven't told a single person about the names I like.
