What are Braxton hicks contractions and what do they feel like?

no. I had them for the last few months of my pregnancy. it's when they get suupper strong and close together that you will worry about labor.

my stomach tightens for a good minute. usually I have them all day since christmas. annoying but body is practicing

If you get up and move they usually slack off whereas real ones don't.

@bubblebeck, so it's just one your stomach gets hard for a moment? Even if it doesn't really feel like anything that's what it is?

They are practice contractions that help your body get ready for birth. They can start as early as your second trimester. It varies from person to person....they can be painful for some and not for others. Your stomach will tighten and get really hard for a few seconds, but they most likely won't be consistent.

practice contractions. kinda remind me of period cramps mixed with an ab workout lol your abdominal muscles constrict and relax periodically.

@hkatedavis, @priscmv92 they don't hurt but they are when your whole stomach gets super hard. I didn't ever notice them other pregnancy's but this one I have them daily.
