❗️❗️PUMPING MAMAS❗️❗️
I need advice! Ok, so I have started pumping to get my milk supply started for when I go to work in a couple weeks and I am so lost with all of this!
So...for example, my baby is sleeping but I could feel my milk drop so I am pumping, my question is, say he wakes up like 5 mins after I'm done pumping. What do I do?? Normally I would feed him the bottle I just pumped, but since I'm trying to save up obviously that's not what I want to do.
If I nurse him right after I get done pumping is more milk going to let down for him that quick??
It's actually a misconception that people think that breasts can really "empty", believe or not, the breast is not built to HOLD milk, it is designed to PRODUCE milk as the baby feeds! So even if you had to pump because you were feeling engorged, if your baby wakes up and is hungry, you can latch the baby and let him nurse and as he continues to suck, your breasts will let down every so often with more milk! You'll tell when there's a let down when the baby sucks faster, swallows louder, and you may feel a tingling sensation or pinching feeling if you're like me lol although your baby may get impatient waiting for the next let down, so you'll have to deal with baby possibly pulling and getting mad until the next let down comes haha my lil girl is always impatient for that first let down unless I'm engorged and there's a lot of milk in there already 😜
My personal opinion is that if I felt my milk let down and needed to nurse I would try to get my baby to nurse and then when the baby is done, pump out the rest. Otherwise you'll keep running into that issue. If you pump until you're empty then it takes around 30 mins for there to be a substantial amount of milk for your baby again (from what I was told, you should double check).
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I EBF I hardly pump.. thing is I start school on Tues and I need to start pumping so I can leave some milk for my husband to feed him while I'm gone it's a 4 hour class what should I do?
Breastfeeding moms: so I am planning on going on a 3 day vacation with my hubby & a bunch of friends to Catalina in May, (my baby won't be going with us) and I do not wanna be pumping and dumping every 2 hours out there.. so if I don't pump or breastfeed for 3-4 days, will my milk supply drop significantly? 😩😩 & I don't know how I'm gonna deal with the engorgement pain if I can't find time to pump out there.
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
When can I start giving my son regular milk? He turns 10 months in 2 days. I bought unsweetened almond milk yesterday so he can try. Would that be okay? I’m lowkey tired of him on formula but I mean he’s still a baby lol.
