went to lab for bloodwork and was talking to an older couple. the lady (probably in her 70s) finds out this is my first (well second, but miscarried the first) baby--I didn't want to get into details--and that I'm 37 and says, "Wow. Your first baby at 37. Wow." like it's a terrible thing. maybe it's generational but I was kinda irritated she said it like that.

Starting TWW. Anyone else? I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.

I had a similar experience, I'm 32 and this is my first baby. The woman went on to say, well I'd figure just starting at your age you wouldn't even want children. I was pretty taken aback. @tchrmama13

@marskhaos, I'm sure. I just didn't feel like defending myself. and @rebcamdot "at your age" lol, sometimes I wish I had started younger but I didn't and that's ok.

I know, the "at my age" was pretty funny to say! I always thought I'd have started earlier, but I had things I wanted to accomplish and wanted the right person to be with too. So the time is just right for me at 32! 😊 @tchrmama13 Congratulations to you!

I think a lot of it is because people assume it gets harder on you the older you get. But the right time is obviously different for everyone, we're not all cookie cutter. ;-)

I thought I would've had babies sooner, granted I'll only be 25 when my baby is born but sometimes (if I'm completely honest) I feel way too young :-/ lol which is silly but :-P
