Been booked in for a growth scan on Thursday, baby is measuring to small (28cm) at 30 week and 4 days. Anyone know why…

The fundal height isn't accurate. It depends on the position of baby and your water levels etc. but I had a small baby. I was scanned fortnightly from 20 weeks until 30 weeks and then weekly from 30 weeks. I was induced at 37 weeks. now my daughter is 10 days old, small but perfectly normal! everybody is a different size. I wouldn't worry

The midwife said she wasn't concerned but she was measuring a bit small so she booked me in for growth scan @winterbaby95

I was sent in the other week for a growth scan at 35+6 as the height of my uterus was 38cm. Turns out when I got to the scan I was indeed having a big baby. But its not always right Xx

I'm measuring at 39cm but I'm 40 weeks and my boy is weighing 9lbs 2 lool! xx

yep they can never tell by just measuring ur uterus they always said my baby was above the line but my scans actually show my babies small.. ur scan will show exact sizes @jordan1410 Xx

@jordan1410, See. No need to panic. Your baby is most likely perfect and you get an extra scan, always a bonus x

I just looked online and it says 30cm is the average for 30 weeks lol please stop googling. You'll worry yourself silly. @jordan1410

What? No that's not right. I'm only 38cm at 38 weeks lol and I'm not measuring small. I'm measuring just fine according to my notes. Don't google ffs!!! X

The fundal height is never that accurate because babies hunch up or stretch out making the measurement possibly wrong by up to 2-3cm either way so I wouldn't worry. The scan will be great as you'll see baby again @jordan1410

@jordan1410, I was told my baby is measuring bigger but when I went for scans he wasn't too big don't worry about it xxx

I wouldn't worry hun my friend had this and her baby was measuring big once she had her scan. just wait and see. could be nothing hun xxx
