So my parenting style is very different then other people I know & Sometimes I feel like I'm looked at like I'm a bad mother because :
1. I don't let my 2 year old drink sodas or juices and if I do I water it down.
2. Candy is a no . Point blank period .
3. Veggies and fruits are a must !
4. Discipline isn't a big problem .
5. Water , Milk, and V8 is what she likes to drink.
6. We workout together (yoga) and we "run" together .
7. She only has a limited about of TV time .
People make it like I'm ruining her childhood when I let her go over people's houses and they find it weird that I basically have a schedule for everything including meals and snacks and that I have a list of things that she can't eat which is mainly sweets . Is that weird to you?
My mom did that and when she remarried he was a candy junkie!! He adopted me when I was 6 so he practically raised me but all my health morals went out the window!! Lol wish my mom would have stood her ground on the health kicks!! But definitely don't stop if she enjoys it!! Hopefully it really sticks !!!
@sealion, thank you ! ❤️ ! I try to let up sometimes and let her have somethings but it's right back to healthy healthy healthy plus she enjoys it ! 😂
My mother doesn't let my 17 year old sister drink soda in her house! I always snuck it in until I moved out hahaha. (Between you and I , I sneak it in to my sisters on the occasion) But they are all very healthy and fit. I don't think it's a bad idea to get habits like that started young. Habits are so hard to break so I think it's awesome you're teaching good habits so young❤️ I would not be ashamed of that at all!! Health is becoming such a small priority nowadays. I'm still two months out from having my first baby but I think it's awesome!
@queendavis, I thought i was crazy ! My husbands sister hates babysitting her because she says she's to healthy for a 2 year old ....
I love the idea
