Quick question. I'm entitled to JSA, which I am currently claiming and when I'm 29 weeks, I can get Income Support, I am also entitled to the Sure start maternity grant. And my question is, do I have to wait until my Income Support is all set up or can I still apply for the grant in between? Just as I sign off JSA? Or do I have to wait?
I'm so confused if I am having a chemical pregnancy is there anything that I can do?
Question: I am 14 weeks and they said you can have an ultrasound and find out the sex as early as 16 weeks, why do I have to wait till 20 weeks? I don't understand why they are making me wait so long when I'm extremely impatient as it is!

You need to have an income support payment before they give you the grant, I applied for income support 2 days before my grant but because I hadn't had an income support payment yet they denied it and it took over a month to sort it when if I had just waited it would have been a week x

Sadly you have to wait :( I can't wait to come off jsa, I feel like I'm wasting my time looking for work while pregnant x

you have to be so many weeks to apply for the grant think its 30weeks so just fill the form out ready and send it off the day you get your first income support payment that's what I did, I was on a work placement up until 29weeks of pregnancy through jsa was horrible was a waste of my time as they wouldn't let me do anything because I was pregnant so basicly sat on a stool daily for 12 weeks hanging clothes on hangers to display on the shop floor xx

I applied when I put my claim for income support in and it came back fine about a week or so later cash in my account.. 29 weeks is how far along you need to be for the grant and income support xx

You have to be 29 weeks and as long as your income support form is in progress should be fine x
