Hello mums! I am a doula to be (midwife's assistant/doula course of BAI) and I am offering my FREE services. I am very devoted to my work and I promise the best I can and you deserve. Please PM or feel free to comment below :)
I have considered both, but we're not doing so well financially 😔 are there programs out there for people who can't afford it? Currently I have medi-cal and they covered all the hospital bills
Hello @hellosweetie! Thanks for sharing your story. Feelings of disappointment are common when birth does not go as planned. Have you considered talking to a postpartum doula? And yes, I will absolutely help you. I recommend a midwife to have the most natural birth possible!
Hi, nice to meet you! I already had my baby in August, all natural birth....it was amazing but I did not like the hospital environment 😔 They tried talking me into an epidural because I felt the urge to push only an hour after arriving at 4cm, and when the nurse figured out I was right and Inwas fully dilated, they made me push on my back...I asked to move 3 times before I gave up and kept pushing and got two 2nd degree tears for my trouble 😢 I am grateful I got to experience my birth without pain meds because that's what I wanted but I feel like my memories were tainted by the stressful hospital environment, I barely can even recall what was going on as I pushed my girl out 😭 I would love to have a home birth or a birth at a center some day, I'm scared the next one will be super fast because this birth was my first and it was fast! I hlhad a slow early labor I guess at home, handled it just fine for a day, water broke at 2am, got to hospital 3am, baby girl was born at 4:32am 😨 Anyways, just wanted to share my story, and ask if one day, when we have another baby, if you could help me get in touch with resources to help me have a better birth experience 😜 or help give me some tips 😉
