Super jealous. My baby would never latch and I have one inverted nipple.. He will ONLY eat from a bottle and use the supple shield on the okay nipple if he's a great mood maybe twice a week :-(.

Good for you! I'm serious if ya ever need to talk hmu, I've been exclusively breastfeeding her since day one, she's almost 5 months now and never took to bottles or pacifiers, it's been one hella a journey so far but it is so worth it, I love the bond. Going through a horrible growth spurt with her right now, she's back to just eating and sleeping ALL DAY, keeping me up all night....ugh

@hellosweetie thank you.it's encouraging to know my baby isn't the only one who went thru this. I figured it is just a phase. definitely a tiring phase for sure. but I love the bond so I'm not giving up

You're doing wonderfully, please remember it's not your fault...I never really figured out how to make it work better each feed when my girl was going through this, other than I had tricks I would try like letting my let down run in a towel if she popped off so it wouldn't bug her, extra burpings and gripe water (which I had to stop giving her because she kept puking it up), and time away from me...I wouldn't leave her alone or even leave the room, just if dad was home he would hold her for a while and if he wasn't I'd set her down on the bed with me and take a breather together. Usually she would calm down, maybe fight it still for a few minutes, then eat happily and fall asleep at the breast....I also started feeding her on only one breast per feeding, so I think that might have been a contributing factor, because she would nurse on one side and if I switched her she'd get mad...I think it was just a comfort thing and she was mad cuz she was already full...I dunno, I have a lot of theories lol but it did pass and now she doesn't do that! Instead sometimes she'll get mad that she can't get my let down to come fast enough and she'll punch me 😂 and yank on the nipple....😢 that one's not fun but I'm training her not to do that by taking booby away when she does and making her wait a min before giving it back...she's catching on, slowly....anyways my point is, I know how frustrating it can be, I nearly lost my damn mind when she was doing that, I wanted to give up...but I out stubborned her, and kept at it, learned a LOT of patience goes a long way, and we got through it 😄 and so can you!!!!

@kattastrophe @hellosweetie I definitely don't want to do anything else but breast feed. I'm just exhausted.he's never been this fussy before. he'll eat just fine with a bottle but I don't want him to prefer the bottle over me so I'm trying to not give into him

The popping on and off is most likely because he's going through something developmentally, my girl did the same thing around that time, she would cry and fuss and be mad at booby but still want it....just take a deeeep breath, stay calm, give baby a break, and try again. Try different positions, he may be uncomfortable or have a bit of reflux...or it could be teething as well, if his gums hurt he may not want to latch because it hurts....all this will pass, with patience! I found out with my girl she was mad cuz I had an over active let down and she didn't want to eat that much! It really does get better, just hang in there mama and message me any time for support or advice 😄 you're doing a great job, don't give up!

if you've dealt with colic at all, they say 6-8 weeks is peak fussiness for crying. my daughter had such bad colic, one time around 7 weeks, she screamed for 5 hours. her dad wasn't much help for that phase either, he'd wake up and say "this makes me want to run out a get a fat contained of formula"... of course, no matter what you decide to feed little one, there will be good and bad days for sure!

@graciesmom2016 I haven't struggled up until now he's almost 2 months old most of the time he'll latch and eat but then there's times he'll latch, eat for a little bit then get really fussy. he's still hungry or at least acts like it and I'll put him there but he won't relatch just cries .

I noticed it got so much easier around 8 weeks, and it just got easier from there.... no matter what you decide to do, just remember, a FED baby is a happy baby (:

It's really hard but don't give up! This is my third child but the first time I've breast fed, I've been struggling as well but it's worth it!

@xolovingisaiah, I cried the first time he did it I wish me and my baby could bond like that. Power to breastfeeding!! It's so good for your baby's development too.. I hear it can have some troubles but remember that your baby is happy and healthy all because of you :-)
