38.6 weeks pregnant and yesterday all day I was having cramping then last night the cramping pains were so bad they woke me up a few times. (Went from a sharp pain on both sides of my stomach back to just normal cramps so was able to fall back asleep after a few minutes) Also lower back pain since last night. First pregnancy so not sure if this is cause for concern.... Advice please and thank you.

could be contract I ons. if they are regular and get more painful my midwife said more then 4 in a hr to go get checked.

also try water and getting up to walk around. that's what I did. socks at 2 am but helped them go away
