For all those trying to conceive and losing hope. Please read and don't give up!
Hi I'm new. I'm 21 years old and am 9 weeks pregnant due in August. I couldn't be more happier. Although if you would have told me 4 years ago that I would be pregnant now. I would have looked at you as if you were insane. In 2011 I collapsed in my living room. I was 15 years old so still living with my mother. But I collapsed in the living room screaming in pain. Now I had had pains prior to this but not severe. I could take a ibuprofen and be completely fine. I had gotten in the shower that day and the pain became too much. I had soap in my hair as I stumbled to my room to get dressed before finally collapsing downstairs. I was rushed to the hospital e.r. I was sent to ultrasounds and the nurse was baffled looking at the screen. She first looked at my left side ovary. She said she didn't know what was happening but usually an ovary was the size of a small thumbnail. Where as mine was the size of a watermelon. She moved the ultrasound device to my other side and was even more stunned to see a cantaloupe sized mass. I was given morphine and awaited surgery to remove the masses. I waited a week because it was a non life threatening surgery. But I went in and came out. Little did I know while under the knife they removed my Fallopian tube and ovary on my left side due to a benign tumor. And on the left they removed a cyst.
Now skip forward a few months after that and I was seeing specialists. The specialist told me I would not be able to conceive kids because the cyst on my right ovary had stretched it out killing the tissue and therefore the eggs. I was 16 at this time (yea I spent my birthday in surgery sadly) . I cried for days hearing this news. Depressed that the one right I had as being a woman was ripped from me.
Skip a few more years. I met my hubby . We got engaged. And he held on to the belief that he would get me pregnant with his kid. I told him it couldn't happen but there wasn't harm in trying. So we tried. For a year and a half. I had finally accepted that I couldn't have kids and I would adopt. And after half a year of not trying. Here I am today. 9weeks pregnant. With what the doctor says is a healthy baby with a strong heartbeat.
DO NOT GIVE UP! Try not to get so upset about a negative reading. When your body is under stress it changes hormones. Which could be a reason for the not conceiving. Or that's what I believe. It will happen when you are not expecting it and it will be beautiful.
Thank you for reading .
And the pictures I have posted are the tumor and cyst they pulled out of me. It's cool knowing that I'm in newer medical books as "the adolescent with the equivalent of twins masses"

The water ballon looking one is the cyst and the flat one is the benign tumor.
