I'm not having one this time around. They tried twice to put one in and in the end the only thing I couldn't feel were my legs. To me it isn't worth the trouble.

My fiancé said the epi would be best for me since I basically scream with a Charlie horse when its two Charlie's in a row. I want to go natural, but my advice to you is wait until labor and ask when the open window is. If you have contractions and think you can make it all the way through, go ahead. If you have the contractions and still have the open window and want the epi, go with the epi. I fear the long ass needle going into my spine, but I'm glad they do it while you have a contraction so you focus on that instead.

I got one at 6 or 7 cms. the pain of contractions took away any pain of the epidural

had 4 births naturally. and I am so happy I chose that choice. but get one this last time around. and I was able too sleep through the contractions. And as soon as I felt a crap ton of pressure. I knew it was time to push. some women have a hard time pushing with an epi. but for me it was a great experience. and I would do it again if I could.

but it's your choice hun. every women is different. ideas scared the other times. and I wish I didnt listen to just the negative things others where saying. but again. it's all up to you.

it was so bad because I was having back labor. so my mom and dad would switch between rubbing my back and my hubby was sleeping my parents to him to rest so he would be ready when it was time to push. the thing is they should have know something was wrong because after I got my epidural I said I need to pee and they said I shouldn't feel that and should of just pee the bed. @muvah.earthh

I got it with my first and defiantly getting with the second. You don't have to decide now. You can always make your mind when you are feeling the pain and see if you can handle it or if you wanna make it little easier on yourself. Needle didn't hurt at all specially because the labor pain was so crazy nothing else was painful. One thing you should remember which ever you chose it doesn't make you any better or a worst mom no matter what other people say it is 100 % your body and your choice. You are the one who is feeling the pain so no one has any right to tell you anything. Good luck with everything

@mamaavila89730, strong mama !! 😁 I've heard of epis wearing off ; ugh ! hopefully it doesn't happen to me ! but if it does , I'll deal with it :)

well the epidural can't be as strong not to feel anything because you do need to push, so you will deff feel something lol! .. I know that, plus three's a limited amount you can be injected with ..before they put the thick long needle, they numb it first and stick you while there's a contraction going on so you don't feel it as bad ..you're more focused on the contraction lol! @butterfly919 but ! epidurals like any other medication have side effects and long term affects .. back pain being one of them ( to some, not all women)

I had one and don't want one with this one if I can help it. mine wore off at 7cm and they kept giving me more and it still didn't work. they wanted to redo it but I just pushed through the pain. but everyone is different

no...i think you shouldn't get it because if you move or junp while they put that longgggg needle in your spine you can be hurt really bad like cant move i guess...and dont u wanna feel your baby come out? i do lol because u never know when you can have another
