so! my runt just turned 2 months old last week. I figured I would share his birth story :-) I knew something was up when I woke up because I had been in pain all night, my husband said I had even been whimpering in my sleep. I went to use the bathroom and I'll be darned if the toilet wasn't full of bright blood. so I freaked out. now at the time I was only 34-35 weeks pregnant and I have always been imduced so this was a new experience for me. I go to the doctor having regular contractions and after weighing me I wait 35 minutes for my doctor to come in. he never showed but a nurse came in and said they needed to check my blood sugar again. what the what!? I'm losing it because it seemed so stupid.. I was in serious pain now. but she ignored me. so after that I go to see the ultrasound tech because they want to measure him in there. AT 35 weeks. seriously??? ughhhh. so I'm sitting on this table and she is trying to see my cervix with the belly monitor thing. she can't find it and says the baby is in the way. Turns out my cervix is wide open and Ethan was breech. with his feet in the birth canal, that explains all the pain down there. not pressure like I needed to push but like someone was stabbing me. so finally after two fricken hours my doctor checks me and I am dilated at 8. with a breech baby. we all know what that means :) C-SECTION. ALSO something I've never experienced. so after my c section I'm groggy and they decide then to tell me that my baby has been taken to the nicu because his breathing is not right. I didn't get to touch him for two days. but he got better quickly :-) I finally got to bring him home after a week. so teeny. <3
