My mil doesn't believe in food allergies. What?! This is driving me crazy since my daughter is severely allergic to dairy and soy, and I'm breastfeeding so I have to avoid them. Now my mil is suggesting formula because nursing is "disgusting". However, all formula contains dairy and/or soy. Why is this so difficult to understand?!

Yeah, my mil is a real peach. She fed me turkey injected with soy sauce over Thanksgiving because she didn't believe me. My daughter ended up in the ER.
well there is a formula cas my nephew was the same way but it is extremely expensive! but if u are happily feeding and the baby is thriving then why change it?

Your baby not hers. Let her talk, shes just wasting her time. Nursing is always better, always. And even if there was a formula for her, formula stains and is expensive where breast milk is free.

sorry but ur mil seems very ignorant. not only is breastfeeding a bonding time for you and the baby, it also helps protect the baby because of your antibodies. and yes i agree baby is yours not hers. people will always have their two cents to put in anywhere they can.
