So I had my doctors appointment today and my doctor was telling me about birth control plans after my baby is born cause I plan on doing some type of birth control. And one of the birth control options she was talking about was Mirena, and it sounded pretty good with how she was explaining it and how the little book she gave me about it was explaining it. But I've also been hearing a lot of negative things about it and it's making me unsure if I want to do it, I've heard women becoming infertile because of it or it growing into someone's uterus... Has anyone had or has it explain their experience with me about it because I'm really unsure and how my doctor reassured me once it's I decided to take it out I can start ovulating and try for another baby.
Mine kept sliding. It hurt like hell cuz it was ripping up my uterus as it went. After the second time of it almost falling out I had it removed. I also have a friend who had hers for 4 years and when the went to take it out they couldn't find it. The tried 3 times in the office, once with local anesthesia and then sent her in to the hospital to be put under so they could go hunting for it. It took more than 6 months. She is finally pregnant again, but so not worth it
o and yes. sometimes they get laged. can spell. they get stuck in different places. some woman like it. but its all up to you. if you plan to have another baby before a year, I wouldnt get on the shot either.
it doesnt work for everyone. I was in so much pain when they put it in. the strings got lost in my cervix. my doctor couldn't find it. I had to do a sonogram for them to make sure it was in there. if you end up getting pregnant with it, your baby mostlikely won't live. it mostlikely will be ectomic pregnantcy. I didnt read all this before getting it. but I was definitely worried cause I couldn't feel the strings. I had them take it out after the month. they had to dig pretty far up in my cervix to get it out. took along time so much pain. BC should not be painful. felt like I was delivering a baby. and they gave me nothing for the pain. told me to take Excedrin. thanks that really helped. I was in so much pain for a week, getting it and getting it removed. definitely not something I was happy of. I would just get on the pill. other then condoms its the safest form of BC. just try to keep up with taking it.
I do not have any children(yet, expecting) I loved mine. Didn't have any problems at all with it. I fully plan on getting another one after the baby is born. I got mine out in June last year and was pregnant in August. I too was worried about being sterile but thankfully that's not my case.
