So I'm almost 30 weeks and we aren't finding out the sex of our baby, but our family and friends still try to make us feel guilty over it saying it's really hard to buy for a neutral baby. I really don't see why it's difficult, we've told them we don't need any clothing (we have lots that was given to us & we've bought the rest). My baby shower is next Saturday and now I'm worried people won't even look at my registry because buying for a neutral baby is 'boring' and most have said they want to wait until after baby is born so it can be gender specific. Anybody else dealt with this and did it effect the outcome of your baby shower?

Thanks ladies. it just nice to have support. I've been fought on everything with this pregnancy because it's my first baby. people seem to think I'm an idiot and shouldn't get to choose.

for my baby shower no one even looked at my registry & there's plenty of other things baby needs that doesn't involve just clothes. Tell them to bring you diapers, wipes, bath stuff etc..! There's so much a baby needs that has nothing to do with gender lol.

I know alot of stores don't have one but there are still items I need they could get. like diapers, wipes, bath supplies, bottles, nursing supplies. I think they are all stuck inside this box and don't want to budge on thinking outside of it.

if we ever have a 3rd, we plan on not finding out the gender, I don't expect people to be happy with it, but I want that experience of the surprise, either way if they don't buy you anything clothes wise, the least they can do is diapers, and those help out tremendously, and then buy whatever they want after since that's the attitude they want to have, although it is kinda hard to find neutral stuff, without getting just plain white, I've found in most stores at least around me, don't have a neutral section. 😥

@qmama, it really hurts that we don't have the support we should have. This is probably the only baby we will ever have due to medical problems so we wanted to make it even more exciting by not finding out. I thought by now people would have accepted it and moved on from it, but they still comment on it all the time.

I've never had to deal with that but it sounds very unfair to you!
