Good afternoon ladies. I have a quick question: I have a pet snake. A ball python to be exact and I have read that TTC or pregnant mothers shouldn't handle snakes though I can't figure out exactly what happens. Does anyone know? Should I stop handling my snake?

Oh @jana.bear I do lick my snake I make it part of my everyday routine ;) lol I'm kidding. Alright thanks girls!! I knew snakes carry salmonella I should have figured that's what it all came down to lol
I found out, it's because the snake might have Salmonella. but that's dumb because you should just wash your hands after and don't let them touch your face. I assume you don't lick your snake. lmao
they just say that because if you don't wash your hands properly after you can get salmonella. just wash up afterwords and you'll be fine c:
