So I was denied a position in my current job because I am pregnant. I had a co worker tell me that is discrimination.. has anyone been through this if so what did you do?

that is discrimination and you can file a lawsuit. a BIG one.. go talk to a lawyer for a free consultation. that's extremely illegal.

I hate certain jobs for that reason. Like why would you deny someone just because they are pregnant

I personally wouldn't tell them, until I get the job and after you get the job tel them they can't fire you, I did that they were mad but they had to deal with it!!

you have to be able to prove that you were denied it because of being pregnant on paper so thats hard to do

I don't think they mean anything bad by it, depending on what the kinda job is you do, and what you would be doing. is it something that could harm you while pregnant? then he's just looking out for you. it is discrimination. you can talk with someone, if you feel like that's something you need to do. but depending on what the new job title is, it my pass or not.
