8 weeks and 5 days and still haven't had an appointment I'm getting worried... I applied for medicaid :( but nothing

When did you apply? Mine took about two weeks to be reviewed and confirmed.

medicaid should send you a letter soon letting you know if you got it or not. when did you apply for it. usually takes less than a week. i think. cant remember how long mine took.

Texas Medicaid is slow girl, try following up with them, I got approved in 4 days but that was by Alabama @mommyof2016

Medicaid takes its sweet time. If you are concerned about something go to the er and tell them you are having abdominal pain or serious kidney pain. I had to do that years ago with my son due to medicaid taking its sweet time.

I Applied yesterday cause I wad never told it was online

and then i just waited until my card came in to set up an appt with an OB. went in at 12 weeks and saw my baby for the very first time on ultrasound. and then went again at 15 weeks and heard babys heartbeat. i cried.

I've been getting sharp cramps alot

you should be fine especially if your going off your period as how far along you are. I thought I was closer to 10 weeks when I finally got in but I was really only 8wks... you could try a free clinic or planned parenthood to see if they can help you out

Yeah. What you can do is call the Medicaid office closest to you and ask them how long it will take for your case to be reviewed. Let them know you can't afford a doctor until you get some sort of benefits. Is there a doctor in your area that takes payments based off of income? If so, I'd schedule an appointment and pay, Medicaid will reimburse you that money after you're approved.

@aphrodite2014, lol. i thought i was 9 weeks and i was actually 12 weeks.

my Dr said as soon as I get accepted to call them and they'll set my appointment up... they never said anything if I don't or anything

Don't worry take your prenatals I didn't see my Dr till 28wks this pregnancy. but there are clinics that will see u without medicaid

idk what prenatals to take cause I haven't had my appointment there supposed to tell you which ones to take...

My doctor never told me which ones to take. He just said find one you like and take it! Lol

@mommyof2016, you can choose what ever prenatal you want I recommend a prenatal with DHA in it. but you can start taking whatever one you find and then switch if they want you on a specific one, but my doctor let me choose
