Ok so TMI probably, but I am 22.5 weeks, high risk. Yesterday while babysitting my foster brother (17mo) I was getting ready to head home and felt a small gush. I went to the bathroom to check, and it was more than I expected. My mom told me to call my doctor, so I did. My OB was unavailable so I had to speak with the on call. This woman pretty much told me She thought I peed my pants....even when the stuff didn't smell like urine. Anyone else had issues like this before? This is my first pregnancy, and feel dumb about this stuff.

I haven't been leaking this morning, noticeably anyway...how would they even test it at this point? I feel like the doc I spoke to completely disregarded everything I said. and it was almost 24 hours ago now it started.

@kristian545, I am 21 weeks and my water started leaking at 19 weeks. It felt just like you described. Go straight to labor and Delivery and they can test the fluid for you to see if it is amniotic fluid or just urine. I also had what I thought were really bad cramps after but they were really contractions so definitely go in and get checked

my mom said (she's an RN) That it is possible the baby stepped on my already squished bladder. I'm hoping that's what's happening, and that the cramps are just from her growing.

Go to er... but honestly i pee myself on the daily...its aweful so i wear pads

Unfortunately I am working, so if I notice more throughout the day, and the cramps get worse (had them since it first happened) I will go in. Thankfully I have an appointment for ultrasound and ob next week.

my doctors always told me no matter how "silly" I thought a question was there is nothing wrong with asking, and to keep calling cuz it's easy to catch a "problem" before it's to late!! keep us posted what happens

Thanks, my husband felt the same way I did and wanted answers. Glad I wasn't being unreasonable.

don't ever feel dumb, if you are unsure still go to the ER at least there they can check you out and see what might have happened.

I have. I thought it wasn't urine either but I went to the er to be sure. they checked and it wasn't fluid but if you are worried go and get it checked out.

GO TO LABOR AND DELIVERY. Screw the on-call nurse you talked to, there is no harm in getting checked. My water broke at 32 weeks and it felt just like that.
