My doula is also my dear friend. She was *supposed* to be my doula 3 1/2 years ago when the rest of my support system fell through and I ended up back in the OR for my second c-section. 364 days later I photographed the birth of her son. 13 months ago she was my doula when I achieved my VBA2C. 5 months ago I got to her house in time to run down the stairs and catch her daughter as she was born. Needless to say, we are VERY close, lol.
So today she came over. We had our MomDate and the kids played then she pulled out the doppler. She wanted to see if she had better luck than I've had (every time i catch the heartbeat there's a *shoosh!* and Baby moves). She instantly found the 134 heartbeat and this baby started going CRAZY. Belly Nugget loves Auntie Heather already and kicked me square under the belly button to make sure it was known. ♡♡♡

I really want a VBAC. my doctor just tried to schedule my c-section last week but I just straight out declined! he said obviously I can't be induced and I can't labor at home which is fine. uterine rupture terrifies me
You'll be amazing, @shurkusmomma! My first section was 2/7/06. My second section was 7/9/12. After a 45 hour spontaneous labor and fighting my butt off, I got my first vaginal birth 13 months ago today. Worth. Every. Second.

Find a new provider, @shurkusmomma ! You HAVE to have a supportive provider to have the birth you desire. I switched providers at 32w. I told her what I wanted. She said, "You're going to do it. I'm going to watch. And its going to be awesome." And that's exactly what happened. When I went into labor she sent me home several times. She said, "You don't get the birth you want in a hospital. Go home. Come back when you're ready to have a baby." And I did just that. Change doctors. Get a doula. Educate yourself and learn everything you can. Do that and you WILL be successful. ♡♡
