Hello ladies!
I am new to using this app, and so far it seems awesome. I am hoping there are some women that are experiencing what I am experiencing. I am 23 weeks and 4 days today. On week 20 the ultrasound showed baby has a marginal cord insertion. Everything else has been ruled out (velamentous cord insertion, and Vasa previa.) My boy is growing well, and actually is a little above average. Their concern is it COULD turn into a velamentous cord insertion which could cause baby to bleed out when my water breaks. Has anyone else had this? How did your pregnancy go? Low birth weight? Complications during labor?

There is a difference between the two. A marginal cord insertion doesn't cause bleeding, because there aren't any blood vessels in the sac.

Did you have a velamentous cord insertion?

my mom had this with me. she hemorrhaged at 7 in a half months, but I was a big baby, I came out at about 7 pounds. I was okay, only thing that was wrong with me was I didn't have the sucking down yet, so I had to stay in the hospital for about a month
