I don't plan on stopping breast feeding any time soon but out of curiosity for when the time does come, how do you stop your breasts from producing milk ?

Some people say lettuce or bay leaves, and cold compresses. Not sure. I unfortunately dried up without choice.

It's okay I'm dealing with it trying to stay positive! No putting the lettuce leaves on your breast inside your bra.

I heard you drop a pump session every few days your body will adjust and help to keep your breasts from becoming engorged and stretching out. Try not to quit cold turkey

sounds like its going to be painful at first. I get engorged after 5 hours

Me too and I'm worried for when I try to quit as well. I pump a ridiculous amount in my opinion (10 to 14 per session) I'm not quitting anytime soon my LO is only 3 1/2 months but I am trying to look up the easiest way to bring my supply down until it's nothing. @xolovingisaiah

@kreeblim oh wow that is a lot. & yeah my goal is a year but if I make it to at least 6 I'll be okay with that. he's only a month right now. I just always wondered how that whole process worked

I think as your baby self weans, which is the easiest way to go for both of you, it just kinda starts to disappear as the need for it slowly decreases...Your baby will eventually only want to nurse maybe once a night, gradually, and then the need will stop and so will your breasts! If you happen to have a lot when your baby spontaneously weans, you can always donate! I plan to if I have enough supply by then, but I definitely want to breastfeed for at least the first year or longer until she's ready to wean!!!
