i know every baby is different but when did your babies start sleeping through the night without nursing? could I be making it worse because I bedshare? my son is 7 months.
thanks all:) I was only wondering because I'm moving in a few weeks or so and I want to try putting him in his own crib. he's still going to be in my room. just not in my bed. I know its going to be an adjustment. I just didn't know what to expect
My son started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. I increase his feedings at 4:00 so he is essentially stuffed before bed. He sleeps from about 8-8. He is also a thumb sucker which I honestly think is great because if he wakes up he finds his thumb and goes right back to sleep.. Pacifiers fall out and they can't get them back.. I also put him in his crib at 3 weeks....
he is doing good with it. i moved him to his own room at 2 months & he slept through the night from 11 at night til 6 or 7 in the morning. he started to have some trouble the last 2 weeks with waking up again every couple hours to eat but i tried it again & he's back to sleeping til about 5 or 6 now. he's been asleep since 1030 & woke up once fussed & fell back to sleep. it takes time but it worked for me. @dashhaberdash
my doctor told me to let my son self sooth. basically unless he is crying uncontrollably because he's hungry try to let him walk himself back to sleep. don't pick him up right away. i tried it with my son it works sometimes but then again he's only 3 months. it's worth a try.
