my son is 4 weeks old and I was exclusively bf but as of a week ago he can't seem to suck. I pumped breast milk in a bottle but he is having trouble with that as well. he chews instead of sucking. does anyone know of any way to get him to suck. I don't like using a bottle and worry about his weight. I want to bf for as long as possible and don't want my supply to dissappear

My little one wouldn't latch on at all. I bought a nipple guard from target and he latched onto that right away. If you do, I recommend buying a few in case it gets lost or something though.

Just put him on the breast. Try to do other position where he is more comfortable with. He'll get it eventually.

I'm thinking about buying the nipple guards to see how that works. I try him with different positions and switching breasts but he just chews. he reminds me of a gerbil sometimes. it's very frustrating
