How should I go about telling my mom I'm not going to have her there during labor? She's really excited and thinks she's going to be there, but I want it to just be me and my fiancé. Especially because she is very high strung and controlling and I don't want to be stressed out (my fiancé also doesn't like her and I don't want to ruin the experience for him). I feel bad because she's planning her vacation around the delivery because she wants to be there. What would be the best way to go about telling her that it's just going to be the two of us?

i personally would love my mom there but she is incarcerated so that won't happen i think if you talk to her and explain how you feel she would understand. she is your mom
My doctor is planning on kicking everyone out for us if they won't leave.. We want to do skin On skin and the first hour by ourselves.

I just told everyone my dr only allows 1 person. Not completely true but I couldn't deal with the drama
