I get 4health from tractor supply it's a 30# bag they sell it for less than $40 for the grain free kind, the other kinds are 35# for less than $40. My dogs do great on the regular kind (except my yeasty boy, who only thrives on raw -.-) and don't do any different on the grain free, but if it's allergies a grain free food *might* help

they're fed good dog food, it's like 50 bucks a bag. they both eat it, but I'm not exactly sure what it's called. but it's made from whole grains. and I just feel like she ignores it so she doesn't see it as that big a deal, but I can't fucking ignore it! it's so irritating lol @keithallen

What are they fed? And sounds to me like she has encouraged the behavior, he knows if he makes a scene she will come pet him which itches his itchy spots, he knows you won't so he doesn't do it if she's not around because you don't encourage it

I totally understand we have 3 small dogs. I can't stand the largest of the 3. She doesn't listen to me. if I try to touch her she nips at me or pees!! she has bitten me, more than once and I want her gone!! I have been tempted to just open the door to let her run away. I hate her. She digs under the fence just big enough for my little 5 lb Chihuahua to get out. and of course because she digs, every time my Fiancée lets them back in, I have mud and dirt to clean up from our master bath, through our carpeted bedroom, through the kitchen, dining room and into the living room! because he refuses to bend down and clean her feet. we just got a new rug, it's a light beige color. already has mud spots. sure I have a carpet cleaner but I have an 8 month old child and a 27 year old to clean up after. constantly. her bark is even agitating. it's like she's screaming when someone knocks on the door. dear God, I despise this dog. She constantly itches also! and she has this really fine, long hair that gets everywhere. He babies her and lets her get away with everything. if I get onto her, he gets on to me and says he can handle it, but he doesn't! ugh. I feel your pain!!!

@babyjjsmommy, we have switched it already to an oatmeal shampoo for dry and irritated skin but nothing helps...

@keithallen, when we remember it, we do give him benadryl, bc he gets so worked up and scratches and whines and yelps for over an hour straight to where he's panting bc he can't breathe. and it's only when she comes home from work! and when she is here! I'm here all day and he doesn't do the shit! as soon as she walks in he starts... the benadryl takes forever to kick in on him, but once it does it helps him a lot. and yes he's a yorkie, we got him groomed last month so his hair is pretty short, but he digs at his skin so much it's got sores everywhere! even with the cone he digs and scratches, if he can't reach it then he goes to the stools at the kitchen table and scratches his back on the foot rest and makes his self bleed! she doesn't make him stop! she tries be all nice to him about it and not raise her voice so he will stop. it pisses me off lol

@tahtahme, oh I feel your pain! I would never hurt him but damn! I'm fucking pregnant and this shit makes me so mad!! he doesn't listen... and like I said both of them lay around all day until she gets home and then they follow her around, he whines, and scratches, and flops around yelping. he ever has a cone on and he still scratches and flops around! 😒😒

Sometimes the type of shampoo can make them itch, I wash the yorkie and chihuahua every week and had started using Johnson's baby shampoo with lavender and they've been itching so I'm trying something new tommorrow.

You can give Benadryl tablets it's 1mg per 10# but if it's a yeast infection that won't help. My dog has yeast issues that I just try to manage with a high quality food until I can afford to take him to the vet. I believe you said it's a yorkie so you wouldn't really see color difference, but does the dogs paws smell? What are it's ears like? My dog dogs at his ears then yelps and licks his feet -.- lol

@babyjjsmommy, see and he gets groomed! she treats them both for flees and he still does it... yes his skin is oily but he gets bathed... like obviously it's not helping! he works his self up and does it too his self! I feel bad for him but it's the most annoying thing ever and I'm the only one that has to deal with it! it's so frustrating.

My roommates had 2 dogs, 1 that used to shit on the floor even when the door was open and generally be annoying like it barked a ton and followed you everywhere ugh. The 2nd one has weird habits that are just as annoying, like coming to the kitchen to straight up BEG like follow your every move even though you are tripping on her, barks if you move to suddenly....I even once saw her take her OLD POOP from outside and bring it in once!!! Like I can't physically hurt a thing, but sometimes I have to be mean and tell her to go and I feel bad because she is old and going blind and one of those shaky dogs, but damn she annoys the shit out of me!

@keithallen, lmao that sounds like me! I've gotten to the point where I hate his ass! I'm too the point in my pregnancy where I can sleep in my bed anymore, so I sleeps on the couch, he fucking scratches soo much, like 3 in the morning and he's scratching and yelping and it's all I hear!! he ignores me when I yell his name and tell him to stop, so I literally have to throw my slipper or something towards his bed to get his attention and scare him! it never hits him but scares him so he will stop. but he just goes right back to scratching and sucking..

Lol I feel your pain, we have a yorkie and chihuahua and they are by far the most annoying dogs on the planet. My mom has a malteses that does the scratching thing because no one takes care of her and she isn't properly groomed. I've done it and about thrown up having to cut through all the matted up hair I just can't do it and I don't even live there anyway. It's sad but she's constantly scratching and biting at herself too and it's gross, I agree. I do feel bad for her though!

@wrd2016, benadryl creme might help short term. My puppy has an allergy to wheat, and occasionally steals bread if the kids drop it. (Little dork dog, stop eating things that hurt you!!!) Our vet prescribed Benadryl creme for the rash and itchies. I wouldn't give tablets without seeing the vet first but the creme could make a huge difference until she can take him in! And YES...that would be irritating for ANYONE, so I definitely feel for you.

Sounds like a possible yeast infection. I have an irritating dog..it's my boyfriends dog and daily I find myself screaming at and chasing her. I'm to the point I just grab a shoe and she runs to her crate so I lock her in. But it's worse because she's in heat and my dad keeps letting her inside without panties on so it just pisses me off when she tries to lay with me or when she tries to get in my bed. She isn't even bad anymore I just really don't like her and everything she does irritates the hell out of me

I think he has ear mites, she says he doesnt, and agrees he's got allergies but hasn't taken him yet bc its expensive, which I understand! but don't get pissed off at me bc the shit irritates me! like I've never seen another dog do this shit!! so that's not an excuse... now that I've gotten pissed about it she's went into her room and shut the door, he's in his bed not doing anything!! no whining or nothing!! so obviously I'm not fucking crazy! he only wants her!!

I can see why you're frustrated!!! I'd suggest she take the scratcher to the vet. Sounds like he's got some severe allergy action going on there.
