Mine was positive, and yes I was told to. I didn't rush in when I was in labor because I was only having contractions, but they say if your water breaks to go in asap.
yes if positive for strep b and your water breaks you need to go straight to the hospital I had it and they didn't know it cause I didn't get the test done cause i went into labor before my test and my son had to be tested for it

I've never heard of it before. thought they meant strep throat lol. they gave me a prescription of antibiotics for 5 days. 2 a day. I have my last two tomorrow. hopefully this is gone. because it really made me worry when I look it up online. but also, there's lots of pregnant woman who get it.

@charleemommy, I was so unsure what it was when they told me. just a bacteria. I was thinking did my husband give me this? can I have sex with him, will he get it? lol they say it can be past to the baby when you deliver, but not to a mate. but also what I read, the baby will be treated and be fine.
