Wat do ppl think about having your hair dyed during pregnancy my roots are seriously coming through now and I'm not sure whether to get my hair dyed before the baby is here in 4 months or to wait till after baby is here

@missmegan, my aunties a hairdresser and there no problem at all dying your hair whilst pregnant i would recommend you wait until after the babys born because of all your hormone changes the dye might not take the right way or might not even take at all, ive been so tempted to dye mine but would be truly gutted about the waste of money if it didnt take xxx

Nothing wrong with dying your hair whilst pregnant. They say to do after 12 weeks as the placenta has taken over by then and so your hormones have leveled out meaning less change of going a dodgy colour and to make sure you're in a well ventilated room cause of the fumes but apart from that it's fine.. Xx

I'm my personal experience, I've done mine all the way through and it's been fine, but that's only because I colour myself so it's my fault if it goes wrong lol! If I went to a salon they probably wouldn't do to my hair what I've done to it haha! Can never go wrong asking the question, always better to know rather than just guess xx

I've been dying mine all the way through. When I did my hairdressing training a few years ago, I was taught that it's ok to tint but you shouldn't apply bleach to the scalp because of the chemicals! But just be aware that the colour might take different because of your hormones xx

You can dye your hair, you just can't bleach it. The dye should preferably be no-ammonia but it's not the end of the world if it isn't. The reason women are advised to be careful whilst dying their hair isn't always down to the chemicals, it's because your hair changes during pregnancy and a colour that normally would come out as brown could come out as ginger. It's a risk you take. Your hair is different. That's all

When I went to my hairdressers last time they refused to do it whilst pregnant. Is it bleach that is dangerous

Sounds good but I'm not sure on highlights I've got sort of an ombré look atm and I'm in love wid it xx

I had highlight out through because the dye doesn't touch you scalp, a all over colour does, so maybe for for low light or highlights to break your roots up ? Xx
