Pregnant mommas that work out-- what is your routine like?
@advomom, 30 min of spin class for cardio light weights , squats , leg presses💪🏼💪🏼
@brooklyn0516, awesome! Glad I'm not the only one, honestly, I took a few weeks off bc of morning sickness and I just felt horrible-- but now I literally just feel like staying active 24/7-- obviously I don't want to over do it, but I want to eat clean/stay in shape ect-- I love the way it makes me feel!
Yeah most doctors are concerned about people who go out and start a new workout routine the moment they find out their pregnant. but yeah you should be able to keep up your routine.. unless your lifting weights alot then I'd do what @brooklyn0516 did sounds like she's got a good strategy going on haha
I still lift pretty heavy. About 80% of my PRs. But I've been lifting for years. I quit deadlifting and I cut my squat weight almost in half. Other than that I kept my routine the same. That's how I feel too though, I feel great now I feel like I can do so much! Lol most doctors say to go ahead with whatever you did before you were pregnant. @aphrodite2014 is right about yoga though
@advomom, typically if you have done it befoee pregnancy you can do it during... I had a friend who would run 13 miles a day throughout the majority of her pregnancy she slowed her pace just from being pregnant.. she also slowed to about 6 or 7 miles by the end of pregnancy just because of the impact on her legs but she was tiny at the end of her pregnancy!
@aphrodite2014, I have always been pretty active- I love to run, lift, do yoga-- pretty much everything. Just curious on what others routines are like that are already active. I feel so good, I don't really want to slow down.
also always have atleast one rest day a week. it helps your body recuperate
doing piyo and loving it! determined NOT to gain 65 pounds this time!😩😓
