my MIL is insisting on taking my doctor that I should get a c-section because I look so big. and measuring large...again...he ignored the measurements the first time and my daughter came out 9lb10oz. and she almost was stuck cause her head was large. they had to hold me open pretty much to get her out. and I have a feeling it'll happen again. but of course my doctor ignores it. so I guess it's talking to him tomorrow about my concerns and his thoughts. I don't want another instance of the nurse telling me that I was "that" close to having a c-section. it took forever to dilate and they didn't want me to push at 9cm even though all I wanted to do was push by instincts.

I thought after one c section you have to get them after as well. Hopefully they give you one

Wow . Your story is similar to mine . My daughter actually did get stuck tho. And she was 9 lbs. Make him hear your concerns!!!! Go with your gut.

@tlokitabella91, No , you don't have to have a c section after already having one , you can have a VBAC( vaginal birth after c section) but it's 50/50 can it might not work out .

I didn't have a c-section for the first @tlokitabella91 . pretty much I was really close. and forced me to keep pushing. @prettybrown4268 I'm a little nervous about getting one. but also scared that it might be like before. hours of nothing and dilating so slowly and then practically having to be held open with the doctors hands just to get her out.

@kitkat1015, oh my mistake , I thought you did. I misread! Yea .. I definitely understand your concerns . Make sure talk to your doctor about that ! He should be ignoring your concerns.

Your body was capable of delivering an almost ten pound baby, that's pretty amazing. Don't underestimate your body's abilities. Also, second babies come faster than first babies.

@dflowers, that's kinda what held me back from saying to much about it. Cause it should be faster. but you never know so it's kinda scary :/
