The developmental checklist of what a four month old should be doing worries me. My son has always held up his head well but Hates tummy time so we don't do it as often as we should because he will just cry and scream so we don't do it as often as we should. It says he should be rolling on his back which he did a few times but because he was sitting up on a pillow and he hasn't discovered his feet yet. He does laugh IF you play with him and he smiles when you talk to him. Some babies smile all the time but maybe because he has silent reflux and slight colic he's fussy and uncomfortable so he doesn't smile all the time, and he started teething during his 3rs month of life. Mostly when you conversate with him he smiles. I know all babies are different but should I be worried. He's only four months old.
Every baby is different in their milestones. That's what my sons Doctor told me. My son hates tummy time with a passion but only way I have to do that with is by putting his turtle in front of him. The turtle has music and bright colored lights . That's the only time my chunky monkey would do it. . My son barely turned 5 months on the 3rd but he was 16 pounds when he was 4 months. It just depends on you baby because my son has troubles with his head he favors a certain way when he turns it. But don't worry your son will be able to do those things when he wants too. @princevince
@vanilla1673, I placed him in his swing the other day a little ways away from the tv because I was trying to meal prep and he stayed watching for a little bit. Maybe Ipad will help. Thanks. @vanilla1673
That was the first time I brushed his teeth. Been cleaning his tongue with gauze since he was first born.
Don't worry! My baby now is 4 months old, and he also hates tummy time) but a couple days ago when he was in his tummy I just placed my IPad with funny cartoon in front of him... And, you know, he's liked that! Now I place some toys near him in tummy time and he can play more then 10 min on his tummy! Try this! Maybe it helps)
yes girl same here lol @princevince i have a friend who's baby is already sitting up and i don't think mine will be able to do that also because he's really chunky
@jackieelovee22, mine is chunky too could be the problem. Even when I reach them to his face I have to kind of push a little bit.
Definitely not anything to worry over. I never did those milestone checklists, simply because they would worry me that my daughter wasn't doing enough but when we would see her doctor she'd say she was right on track, we didn't really do tummy time until 5-6 months, because like your baby, she would scream or fall asleep. So I wouldn't be worried, sounds like he's doing fine.
mine is 4 months too almost 5!! hes discovered his feet but he doesnt really play with them because hes too chunky lol

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Make your own breakfast!
At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.

What if we woke up to him like this?! 😅😂
Do you ladies think it might be time to transition him into his crib? Any tips on how to do such a difficult challenge with an almost 4 month old baby who likes to be held? 🤔
TIA!💞🙃
So mamas I need advice. We take our son to the gym with us and they watch him in their kid care. Well this will be the third time that we’ve gotten called in there to get him because he’s supposedly doing something we’ve never seen or heard of him doing. When I went in there, the girl was holding him, he was in tears and so happy to see me and wanted me to pick him up. I told her I wanted to see him doing what he was supposedly doing. He went on to play with a toy nicely so I told him to come to...
@princevince, omg your chunk is adorable 😍 look at all that hair!!! but my baby has always been big. He weighed 6 pounds 12 oz. Mind you he felt like surprising me and came a month early! I had him at 36 +6. If i had gone "full term" i would have probably had a c section!
