The developmental checklist of what a four month old should be doing worries me. My son has always held up his head well but Hates tummy time so we don't do it as often as we should because he will just cry and scream so we don't do it as often as we should. It says he should be rolling on his back which he did a few times but because he was sitting up on a pillow and he hasn't discovered his feet yet. He does laugh IF you play with him and he smiles when you talk to him. Some babies smile all the time but maybe because he has silent reflux and slight colic he's fussy and uncomfortable so he doesn't smile all the time, and he started teething during his 3rs month of life. Mostly when you conversate with him he smiles. I know all babies are different but should I be worried. He's only four months old.

Aww poor guy....that's good that your doc isn't worried 😁 I think the smiling and laughing has to do with him being uncomfortable and also like you said the fussy time right now....which btw, I'm glad you mentioned cuz that explains why my 4 month old girl is being extra fussy through this latest growth spurt she's been having LOL
@hellosweetie, I got it from the doctor. She didn't ask me about rolling but she asked me if he's laughing and if he's found his feet. She says he's doing well. My wonder weeks app says this is a fussy time right now which he has been. He does like his back better than his tummy but his milk comes up then he awaits it back down so it's rough. @hellosweetie
Thank you. It's just hard to see other babies smiling since one month or laughing earlier than mine makes it seem like he's not happy or he's not on track for where he is. I sing I play. I play music and have him listening to music to stimulate his mind. I put him in his bumbo to help sit him up. Maybe not as much as I should or tummy time as much as I should. I just want a happy smart baby. Which I know he will be. Maybe because he was born at 37 weeks ?
Yes I agree you shouldn't worry too much, it sounds like he's on track and developing at his own pace, and that's fine! He may surpass and excel at other things down the road, even if he seems behind right now. I'm curious where you're getting this magical list of milestones lol everything I've researched always says that the average baby doesn't roll until 5.5 months, this has stuck out to me because my lil bugger has been rolling both ways since 3 months 😜 It sounds to me that he's on track and happy baby, I think you may be right that the silent reflux bothers him, it may be a contributing factor on his hate of tummy time as well. I wish I had the link to the video, but don't be too upset about that, some new research is coming out that tummy time isn't all it's cracked up to be, and that letting your baby play on its back on the floor is all they need, and some encouragement from you and toys...they will feel things out by kicking and looking around, and they will naturally start to try and roll when they are ready 😀 So really, whether we try and make our babies into tiny Olympic athletes or not, they WILL hit those milestones lol
It can be discouraging because they group all babies together and they are all so deferent! It's hard to hear them cry but it's good for him to do tummy time, you can try putting just a little bit of weight on his but like a bag of rice or something. Sometimes babies find it extremely uncomfortable to have that much pressure on their head so putting some weight on his but would level him out!
I've been touching his feet to his face so he will start discovering. I also stopped using mittens at 3 months because I wanted him to start grasping things. He hasn't done that either. Always grabbing my hair or sucking on his hands. I still do a bit of tummy time. I try to let him cry a few minutes so at least he's doing it. The doctor wasn't concerned I guess I'm overreacting and I should stop Reading Other 4 month updates on other babies. @mommy_baby_e
A lot of babies hate tummy time but it significantly helps them. Just try to aim for at least a couple minutes a day and slowly increase. He will get use to it and motivate him to get moving!
You shouldn't be worried at all! He's still so young and sounds like he's doing well! All you can do is try to help him discover those little feet and help him reach those milestones as best as you can.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Make your own breakfast!
At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.

What if we woke up to him like this?! 😅😂
Do you ladies think it might be time to transition him into his crib? Any tips on how to do such a difficult challenge with an almost 4 month old baby who likes to be held? 🤔
TIA!💞🙃
So mamas I need advice. We take our son to the gym with us and they watch him in their kid care. Well this will be the third time that we’ve gotten called in there to get him because he’s supposedly doing something we’ve never seen or heard of him doing. When I went in there, the girl was holding him, he was in tears and so happy to see me and wanted me to pick him up. I told her I wanted to see him doing what he was supposedly doing. He went on to play with a toy nicely so I told him to come to...
