@alicia3_21, I have a 14 pound Maine Coon who is still under a year old and he lays on the bed while I feed my little boy he has never once bothered him or tried to cause any harm sometimes older cats do experience jealousy or become skiddish when babies first come home a lot of times the cause of death is SIDS and not actually anything to do with the cat. (I grew up with cats and my granny knew all about these things)

@alicia3_21, people have always believed this but it is so not true they don't suck their breath they do tend to climb in cribs with babies for warmth though.

surprisingly I've never heard of this. When my brother was a baby. The cat always climbed in his crib to cuddle up
