It can be when you have hard to the touh and lumpy breast. It can come ut too fast for baby also. You just have to make sure not to pump too much at once. In my case I didn't realize that pumping 2-3 ounces was ok.

Electric pumps suction can cause oversupply. It's handy also, I guess.

@momagainjj82, touche! I'm just a scardy cat when it comes to pain lol coming from a pregnant lady who's 6-7 months along. but yeah a wimp and know it will hurt if I don't pump/feed but the suction on a sore nipple sounds just as painful and bluh

I can give you a manual pump con: sore hands!

Electric breast pumps are amazing. I used one for 7 weeks and can't think of any cons.
