In the United States of America you have access to 12 weeks of FMLA which is available to those who are caring for a new baby. This although is contingent upon you working at your employer for 1 year or more, meaning you can take 12 weeks off and they have to save your job for you and still offer medical benefits, most aren't paid though.

in Tennessee it's 6 weeks for vaginal and 8 wks for c section
